One of our wonderful fosters found Daisy in the woods in Northern North Carolina. She was kicked out of a van to live on her own with her sister. (Sister has been taken in by another person and doing well). Daisy is so sweet but needed to learn how to be on a leash and become house broken and socialized. After about 4 months Daisy was spayed and fully vetted and ready to head to her new forever home and family.... her very first family and home that is and she is doing fantastic as you can see in the pictures! She lives not too far from Cruiser. Her family has stated that Daisy has brought joy back into their lives and we are so happy for them. Happy Tails Daisy! *Special thank you to Anna S. and Tim S. for helping her new journey possible.
We were contacted by Cruiser's owner asking for help with re-homing him as they were moving and could not take him with them. Cruiser's original handler a Vietnam Veteran passed away four years ago, he was then re-homed with an active police officer. We took Cruiser and immediately started working on getting him vetted and his health improved for a new home, within two weeks we found a new home and wonderful family to adopt Cruiser. Cruiser is an active service dog however at the age of 12 we officially held a retirement ceremony for Cruiser. He is now enjoying his retirement in Massachusetts with a loving family and a whole community of other retired dogs. They do daily walks and weekly dog block parties. We couldn't be happier! Happy Tails Cruiser!
Scooby was found lying in the road after being hit by a car, while a search team was out looking for another dog that had escaped his back yard from the horrible storm that was going through (South Carolina) Scooby was found he was rushed to the vet and into surgery. His leg had to be amputated, in search his owners were found who no longer wanted him so ownership was transferred to the individual who found him. After months of rehabilitation and getting neutered and up to date on vaccines the hunt for a new forever family was on a roll. After months of advertising him our rescue found a new forever home up North in Massachusetts with a loving family wanting to fill the sorrow of losing their dog to old age. To date Scooby is living the good life and enjoying his new family and the snow! Thank you to everyone involved to making his new journey possible.
