 One of our Board Directors has gone above and beyond for the cats in his area, he completes TNR's (trap, neuter, release) but also built them a food and water station and a deluxe country style condo with warm straw for protection against the weather elements and wildlife. The cats are happy and we are too! Good job Chris and thank you for all you do!

Not our typical rescue but when we see an animal in need we don't look away! On two different days back to back we found two different snakes in need; one was tangled up in plastic mesh floating on a lake trying not to drown and another that was hit by a car trying to get to safer grounds. The first snake is a Brand Water Snake and the other is a juvenile Eastern Racer Snake both are nonvenomous. This case came out of West Virginia, Board Member Tim assisted with this case. A total of 13 horses were saved, transporting them to Days End Farm Horse Rescue in Woodbine, MD. The coordination between members to help with these horses and the deceased was a village of loving kind professional people. We want to thank Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, Jefferson County Animal Control, Days End Farm Horse Rescue, the Vets and Vet's staff and the volunteers who stepped in to help and a thank you to our own Tim for always going above and beyond!
 September 27, 2016 you were pulled from the filth and deplorable conditions of a basement in a home of no love or kindness just to be used as a puppy mill dog to create and create with no care in return. You along with several hundred others were rescued from the puppy mill horror because someone spoke up. That day our eyes met our hearts were immediately connected. I held you and hummed to you until you fell asleep. I named you "Noah Moses" meaning new beginning. You got good food and care. The day came that my time working the cruelty case had ended but I looked at you and told you "I will come back for you." November 6, 2016 you arrived at my home all cleaned up and wearing the most adorable sweater. From that point on you got whatever you needed and wanted and lived the best life with me for 6 years. On December 11, 2022 you told me it was time to go. You laid in my arms while I hummed to you with my tears soaking your sweet head we said our goodbyes, you ran to the Rainbow Bridge. All those meals for 6 years I told you "time to eat and build your muscles for Mommy" and you built those muscles so you could run to the Rainbow Bridge. You left this world on your own terms free of disease, free of abuse free of suffering and illness. You left this world healthy, 14 years. I'm so blessed to have had you as my Angel on earth, you taught me to be determined and strong and to figure things out through education for special needs. You were teaching me to build my muscles for the day you would leave me. I have grown so much in caring for you, I am strong and determined because of you Noah. You gave me the best 6 years of my life. I miss you every day but run free at the Rainbow Bridge you have so many friends there. You now have a mouth and teeth, vision, hearing and no aches and pains and most of all my heart. Fly high my Angel! Love, Mom (Karen)

IT WAS AND IS A VERY REWARDING HUMBLING EXPERIENCE TO HELP SO MANY ANIMALS AND THEIR OWNERS. FOREVER GRATEFUL TO ALL INVOLVED IN THIS WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. I LOOK FORWARD TO MORE OF THESE TOURS IN HELPING OWNERS AND THEIR PETS INCLUDING STRAYS AROUND THE WORLD. THE TERM "IT TAKES A VILLAGE" IS VERY TRUE TO THESE CLINICS! I am still on deployment with the HSUS with the Great Danes. The case continues therefore I cannot post any pictures or details however, you can check out more information regarding this case at the Humane Society of the United States website and FB pages. I want to thank everyone who is supporting the HSUS and the good work they do. I couldn't be more proud and honored to work with a great group of people.
I have been on a rotation deployment for this case and it's been amazing to see the Great Danes evolve and make positive progress. The HSUS has been amazing to work with. I had a great time through the holidays November and December. My rescue made a treat bag for each dog and being able to give them to the dogs was a real treat :) The case continues and the details of the Judge's ruling can be found on the HSUS website. While the case is active we are not permitted to take pictures or videos or post details. Please send your donations to HSUS to help with the Great Danes and other cases currently going on. We always need your help and support! I look forward to my next deployment this week in returning to New Hampshire! From October 15 to the 22nd I deployed back to New Hampshire to work with HSUS on rotation #3 of assisting with the Great Danes. It was a long exhausting week but so worth it, the leaves have started to turn colors and the weather is getting colder. Recently I assisted with 84 Great Danes that were rescued by HSUS, The Humane Society of the United States. I traveled up to New Hampshire and worked at the HSUS shelter for 8 days. It was a lot of work taking care of the daily needs of these 84 Great Danes but I got to work with the great people of the HSUS and made some new friends with the volunteers as well as see old friends. I was asked by Char Wills German Shepherd Rescue in PA if I could help with a deployment they were heading up in Augusta, WV. I agreed with no hesitation. Got all the specifics and headed out at 5:30AM Wednesday to meet them on the property. This was a case where an elderly couple could no longer care for the dogs and unfortunately the conditions were bad. The smell of mud mixed with urine and feces and bacteria was horrific. These dogs needed immediate care and that's exactly what we did. The dogs had never been on leashes or even a collar. We were able to remove all dogs from the property safely and professionally and show them proper care and kindness as they enjoyed a ride in a nice air conditioned trailer on their way to Char Wills GSD rescue facility where they will continue their vetting, grooming and assessment.
