2 Part freedom ride for Gracie and Joanie

On our way home from a 9 hour round trip double transport we stopped at the shelter in Conway, SC to pick up Joanie and foster over night for her trip to Maryland the next day to her rescue House of Hope. Joanie was so scared and curled up in a ball in the crate the whole time. Once she was at her overnight home with the owner of RTWC she stayed in her crate for one hour with the door open, little Roman checked her out and wanted to play. She eventually came out of the crate and started to get comfortable. She went in the back yard and followed Roman around, then she played with the toys and chased Roman through the house. She ended up sleeping across the legs of Roman's Mommy and they slept on the couch. The next morning everyone got up early and started the 8.30 drive to Maryland, but first we had to stop in Cerro Gordo to pick up Gracie for her ride to her foster Mommy in Graham, NC (see next post). We drove one hour to Cerro Gordo picked up Gracie then drove 3 hours to her foster Mommy in Graham, NC then we drove 5 hours to House of Hope to meet Joanie's foster Dad. It was a long exciting trip to know two dogs were now safe and happy.
