We answered the call for transport help for a yellow Lab named Jasper. He was found on Gary Road in South Carolina around four months old in August 2015 by Horry County Animal Control Center. He was adopted from the shelter by a wonderful family, the family said when they went to look at the adoptable dogs Jasper just stayed in the back of the pin curled up and quiet so they adopted him. Since that time the Mother and Father (adopters) have new jobs and two small girls and they can not provide the attention that Jasper needs. They refused to take him back to the shelter but wanted to give him another loving home. With the assistance of April and House of Hope they surrendered the dog to House of Hope, I went to pick up the dog and it was bitter sweet. The Mom and little girls sat on the floor hugging Jasper and cried, the Mom kept saying "sorry" to the dog. I assured the family they were doing the right thing for Jasper and themselves and that House of Hope has 100% successful adoption rate and is a really good rescue. They packed up Jasper's toys, treats and beds and we were off. We transported Jasper to Fairmont, NC for vetting and boarding before he makes his trip to House of Hope in Maryland. I can not thank the family enough for making a wise decision and doing their best with Jasper. He went from frail, thin and scared to a loving beautiful well mannered dog. We thank Tyler and his family for rescuing Jasper from the shelter and thank you House of Hope for continuing his journey in a safe loving home.
