Dog hit by car and a ride along

We could not turn down a call for help with a dog hit by a car ending up with a fractured hip and leg. Then we were asked about another little dog hitching a ride with us, we said sure! We gladly agreed to drive to Emporia, VA to meet Joseph who was bringing the injured dog and ride along up from a South Carolina shelter we loaded up both dogs and started the 4 hour trip north to Maryland to their rescues. My co driver "Holly" had no problem taking the front seat and watching the freedom ride with a front seat view (we usually do not allow this for safety purposes but she was held safely by a trained transporter) the inured dog laid down across the doggy bed we had set up for his comfortable freedom ride. We first made a stop in Bowie, MD to drop off Holly to her rescue, the ladies at the rescue are amazing! Super sweet people, we know Holly is in great hands! We let there and traveled another hour north to meet with the rescue for the injured dog, he too is in great hands and on his way to a great recovery. We are so happy for these two dogs and their new journey, we met some really amazing people that day. We thank everyone involved in their rescue!
