The very next day (Monday) the rescue asked us if we could travel back to Mt. Pleasant to pick up the injured dog now named Lucas (they were able to determine the sex of the dog at the veterinary hospital) and transport him up to Loris, SC to his medical foster were he can recover from the severe skin infection and road rash he has and we said of coarse. Lucas has a dislocated hip, fractured pelvis, broken jaw, bruises and cuts on his head, eye and his belly, but beyond that Lucas had been neglected for some time and living on the streets. They were not able to perform the surgeries until the skin infection is cleared up. We transported him to his medical foster Mom in Loris, SC where he will get the necessary medical treatment and love he deserves. He was able to stand on his own a few times but still not able to walk. We carried him in the house on a moving blanket. He is able to eat soft dog food. For anyone wishing to make a donation for soft dog food or after care for Lucas please contact All 4 Paws Animal Rescue http://all4pawssc.org/ when making your donation please say it's for "LUCAS", we appreciate the support for him!
