Today we traveled a 6.30 hour round trip that started at 8:00 am, we picked up the two three month old puppies, a boy and a girl from the animal shelter. They had to be out by tomorrow so we did the rescue today. They did so good, slept the whole trip. I guess the ride made them sleepy and they were safe and I just had a sense they knew it was their freedom ride. About one hour and a half into the trip on 95 South we seen a goat with an orange collar in the medium eating grass, so we pulled over googled for the local animal shelter and called them, gave them our location and what we were seeing they said they were already in route. We were so relieved to hear that, we wanted the goat to be rescued, it was apparent that the goat got loose from somewhere. I arrived on time at Palmetto Animal League, as I carried the puppies in they peed on me :) guess they were "relieved" (lol) but it was a great transport! On my way back I checked the spot where we had seen the goat, they had detained the goat and were waiting for the owner or a trailer so they could safely remove the goat for the highway. We are so relieved the goat had been rescued! It's been a blessed day and we wish the puppies a happy loving journey and wish the goat a safe travel home.
